FAQs

Where are the materials sourced from?

All lumber is sourced from local mills in Western Oregon and often from fell urban lumber. Occasionally I’ll get in exotics for specific projects pertaining to detail or luthier work. As for everything else, I tend to stick to the small guys that keep their own fires burning.

When do items restock?

If you see something you like and it’s unavailable, I’m probably working on something similar. Feel free to reach out anytime for something specific.

How do I care for these items?

Wood in a kitchen generally holds up well with a small amount of care. You can extend the life of your board by hand-washing while not fully submerging the board in water. The included “Horse Wax” or any other food-safe cutting board conditioner can be applied at your discretion as the board ages. This runs the gamut for all things finished in a high-quality wax. A little buff will go a long way.

What is a Horse?

A horse, of course.

Will you be adding new products?

Most everything is one-of-a-kind and shifts and shapes according to lumber that rolls in. There will be a continuous ride of things to sit on, eat on, smoke, and play on, near on the horizon.

Do you do custom work?

Inspiration is generally from what I would need or use, and this is transferred from you too. If you have an idea for something in your life, shoot me an e-mail, and we can sort it out, easy.
